Hurricane Impact

It is 12 days after Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast and our families have just begun to feel the impact. Both of our parents lost their vacation homes in Mississippi (right) and have significant damage to their primary homes in Metairie. Luckily, we faired very well through this storm. Our home was essentially untouched and only one room had barely one inch of water. Mama's house wasn't that fortunate, but not too bad nonetheless. A palm tree fell on one corner of the house and there was a couple of inches of water in the house. Because of this damage and the since the rebuilding of New Orleans's suburubs will be several weeks and months, we are expecting the sale of Mama's house to be a little further in the future than we had originally hoped. Nevertheless, we will complete the repairs and renovation to Mama's, sell it and continue our plans to build our dream house in Jefferson.

Thank you to all of our family and friends for their continued support through out this time. Without you, we do not know where or how we would be.

The devestation is incredible. The times are difficult. But, our families and the City of New Orleans will make it through.
