Late August - BRICKS!
After seeing the stacks of bricks round the house for about a month, it was a nice surprise to see them on the house! They are about 1/3 complete, but the final look of the house is starting to become clearer.
Also, the patio and porch areas now have their concrete base. Hope to see them covered in brick soon!
Continue to see something new are the house each week, the AC airhandlers and water heater were added to the attic. We could start to see the bathrooms coming together also. The big Jacuzzi tub and (my favorite) the shower, complete with body-sprays, were roughed in. The boys were excited to see their bathtub as well!
In late July, the house was "dry-in" and locked. The shingles are on the main roof (the garage roof will not go on until after bricks are complete). Electrical was mostly roughed in, the plumgin too, and the windows were installed. Thanks to a great suggestion from Dave, the downstairs bathroom had a cubby shelf added.
It has been a while since the last post on the blog, but a good bit of progress has been made. To catch up the blog, I'm posting a couple pics from each week that has past.
Here the roof is progressing while the house is just about closed in.
